Feature in Outside Magazine

This summer, I (and Pisgah Map Co) was honored to be part of a feature in Outside Magazine on the best things to do in (and outside) of Asheville, NC. I got to hang out with Katie Cahn from Dirt Road Wares, who is one of my oldest river friends from days long past guiding on the Chattooga River. I wouldn’t have been part of it if it weren’t for her! You should check out her jewelry … it’s AMAZING.

I also go to spend the day and hang out with Katie Button, who has become quite famous since I first ate at her restaurant Curate many, many years ago. And … Erin McGrady who I’ve followed on social media for years through here Authentic Asheville blog.

It was all quite surreal and hard to believe I was part of something published in Outside Magazine! Even better to get a day hanging out with Katie and new friends I’d admired from a distance for so many years. Cheers to all and cheers to this wonderful world we are building in the mountains of WNC!
